We are excited to introduce our Photo Slide Presentation and Photo-Walk offerings. These presentations are for those looking to expand their understanding and use of the camera in their iPhone. These are free offerings and you are welcome to join us for either, or both.

“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”  - Dorothea Lange

Glen has been using a camera seriously for over forty years, and along the way completed a degree in Fine Art Photography at the University of Oregon. For nearly three decades it was all about view cameras, sheet film, and making prints in the darkroom. The conversion to digital cameras began in 2006. For the past two years he has been using the camera in his iPhone exclusively, and he will be sharing the reasons why.

Narelle has a love for photography that goes back some thirty years. Making images has always been an important part of her life, using both film and digital cameras. She has recently started using the iPhone and could not be more excited with her recent images made with this extraordinary tool.

Today’s technology has transformed these devices into serious cameras, capable of stunning results, including gallery quality prints, fine art photography books, and award winning feature length films.

During our slide presentation you will see examples of our fine art images. Narelle and Glen will both be sharing a bit of their individual approaches to making images. There will also be a brief discussion of several simple photo editing apps. There will be plenty of time for your questions.

During our photo-walk you will receive instruction and advice on how to make the most of the awesome camera in your iPhone. Much of our photo-walk experience will be exploring how you see, and more importantly, discovering a new way of being in the world. In our time together you will gain valuable insight into creating images that more closely reflect what you felt in your heart and, saw in your mind’s eye when you pressed the shutter.

“Often when traveling with the camera we arrive just as the sun slips over the horizon of a moment, too late to expose film, only enough time to expose our hearts.” - Minor White

How does this work?

Our Slide Show Presentations are held during an evening; a relaxed, informal and entertaining gathering. A little like a salon.

Our Photo Walk experiences are held over three hours, during a weekend time. Generally outdoors, some events may centre around Galleries and other interesting Public spaces. All levels of photography experience are invited on our Walks. Note; whilst we work with the cameras in our iPhones, you are also welcome to use your smart phone, or any camera you have and love. It’s all about seeing with your heart. Infused with soul.

Over the next few months, from April to July, we’ll be travelling in New Zealand (on Waiheke Island, near Auckland), in northern Tasmania, in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, in Brisbane, and on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. We’ll be hosting several of our free events along the way. We’d love to see you there! The best way to follow along and join us for this fun, is by signing up to our Newsletter. That’s how we’ll be letting you know Where we are, and the When and How to join in with us.

If you feel inspired to host one of these events in your area, please do contact us by using the form on our Connect Page. Bless!
